Northridge Elementary Weekly Blast (1)_e

What a Fun Run!

The Fun Run once again lived up to its name and was an absolute BLAST - all the fun was had! HUGE thank you to our students, staff, parents, and all the volunteers who beat the heat and made the day a success!! We had so many supporters come by to cheer on our students - it was wonderful to see! We even had some older students using their precious recess to cheer on the younger students - it was so heartwarming!

Fun Run Celebration.gif

We’ve raised over $40,000 for NRE so far and are getting closer to our goal! THANK YOU to everyone who has donated and helped make this fundraiser such a success!

Fun Run Prize Day Is Next Week!

We’re so close to reaching our next fundraising goal of $45,000, which will unlock VIP Inflatables!

But why stop there?! Let’s see if we can make it all the way to $60,000 and have a Silly String War for the whole school!

Donations are open through Monday, September 14. Every donation, no matter how much, brings us one step closer to reaching our goal!

We've also added a new incentive!  The classes that finish in 2nd and 3rd place will earn a free Mici cheese pizza for each student in the class!

Students who have already raised $100 or more will receive an additional pizza coupon if their class finishes in 2nd or 3rd place.

Check out some of the fun from last week.

We will be celebrating all the wonderful running and fundraising our students did for NRE on September 18th! This day is so much fun for the kids and a great opportunity for volunteers! What could be better than helping our students celebrate their hard work?

A night to celebrate what makes NRE special!

Important Announcements

Bring your unneeded winter gear (jackets, gloves, hats, boots, etc.) to NRE starting Friday, September 18th. We will have bins in the front lobby to drop off things you no longer need. Also, take a look in the bins or on the rack for anything you might need! Consider it a swap - give what you don’t need and take what you do need. You do not have to make a donation to take something you need. We want to make sure all NRE kiddos have warm gear this winter!

We can’t wait to celebrate the many cultures and traditions that make our NRE community so special! Join us Friday, September 25th from 5:00–7:00 PM for an evening filled with family, fun, and learning.

NRE families will host booths highlighting the diverse cultures represented in our school.

Want to help make the evening a success? We’d love a few volunteers to help throughout the event. Click here to sign up!

Would you like to host a booth and showcase your culture? Reach out to PTOmulticulturalnightNRE@gmail.com to reserve your booth or ask questions! Booth Ideas: • Cultural Booths: Traditional clothing, art, or historical artifacts •Interactive Activities: Host a craft project, game, or storytelling sessions •Global Cuisine: Small samples of cultural foods - candy, food item or drink •Additionally - the evening will be filled with performances by kids from NRE! If your child would like to share a performance with our community, please email PTOmulticulturalnightNRE@gmail.com for more information.

Upcoming Spirit Nights

Local restaurants host “spirit nights” where a designated portion of the proceeds from your order will be generously donated back to NRE PTO. All you have to do is mention NRE or show the flyer when ordering.  It’s a win-win-win: you get a night off from making dinner (or treats), local restaurants get our business, and PTO receives a donation. Stay tuned for more dates - we are adding more to the calendar all the time!
