Fun Run Prize Day

This past Friday we celebrated all the amazing running and fundraising our students did for NRE! It was so much fun to see them out there and having fun with all the inflatables and snacking on the treats! HUGE thank you to all of you for the great fundraising this last few weeks and to our volunteers for making such a wonderful Prize Day possible! Celebrating our students’ hard work is the best!!

Help Us Make Next Year’s Fun Run Even Better!

We’d love to hear what you thought about this year’s Fun Run. Your feedback will help us improve next year’s fundraiser, especially when it comes to incentives and what motivates you and your kids to participate and fundraise.

The survey is anonymous, only 5 questions, and should take just 1–2 minutes to complete. Your honest feedback will help us make next year’s Fun Run even more fun and successful!

Upcoming Spirit Nights

Local restaurants host “spirit nights” where a designated portion of the proceeds from your order will be generously donated back to NRE PTO. All you have to do is mention NRE or show the flyer when ordering.

Questions With...

Sara Messer (3rd Grade Discovery Teacher)

1. What did a perfect summer day look like when you were a kid?
We had the *best* summers growing up. My mom was also a teacher, so we spent our days on the lake, at the local amusement park, and at the water park.

2. What brought you to NRE?
I moved from Nebraska and had multiple interview processes with multiple local districts and schools. NRE was by far my favorite interview process and just had the best *vibe!* :) Susan Mckinzie called me to explain what Discovery was and convinced me to join!

3. What’s something you could happily talk about for hours?
Books for sure! I haven't read a TON of books, but if we find one we've both read, or if you have a recommendation you love, I love to hear it!

Ms. Messer

4. What’s something people are usually surprised to learn about you?

I'm generally fairly quiet and can be a bit shy, but I used to be quite the theater person, shining on the stage in plays, musicals, or show choir!

 5. If you could instantly teleport anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I think somewhere near the Arctic Circle to see the amazing Northern Lights.

✅ Correct Answer: Over $100,000

Coat and Costume Drive

Now through October 9

The Coat and Costume Drive started this past Friday!! Bring your unneeded winter gear (jackets, gloves, hats, boots, etc.) to NRE. We have bins outside the front doors where you can easily drop off donations. We also have bins in the front lobby.

Coat and Costume Drive

Also, take a look in the bins or on the rack for anything you might need! Consider it a swap - give what you don't need and take what you do need. You do not have to make a donation to take something you need. We want to make sure all NRE kiddos have warm gear this winter.

All leftover items will be donated to Help and Hope Center in Castle Rock.
