🗓️ PTO General Assembly

ALL are invited to attend the first PTO meeting of the school year. Come see what PTO is all about! The meeting will take place in the NRE Library on September 16th from 8:45-10:15. Little ones are welcome to tag along and you are free to come and go if you aren’t able to attend the whole meeting. Bring a friend and enjoy free snacks!
🏅 Fun Run Prize Day
We will be celebrating all the wonderful running and fundraising our students did for NRE on September 18th! This day is so much fun for the kids and a great opportunity for volunteers! What could be better than helping our students celebrate their hard work? Please sign up if you have time to help! Thank you!
Bring your unneeded winter gear (jackets, gloves, hats, boots, etc.) to NRE starting Friday, September 18th. We will have bins in the front lobby to drop off things you no longer need. Also, take a look in the bins or on the rack for anything you might need! Consider it a swap - give what you don’t need and take what you do need. You do not have to make a donation to take something you need. We want to make sure all NRE kiddos have warm gear this winter!
The PTO now gets free Rockies tickets for select 2026 games—and they’re available to NRE families at no cost! To get a shot at tickets, make sure you're opted in to PTO Text Messages. When tickets are available, you’ll get a text with instructions on how to request tickets. Tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Not signed up yet? It only takes 10 seconds— click here.
NRE has a great volunteer site to see all available volunteer opportunities. Everything from events to board positions to committee needs will be listed. Please check it out here!
One of the most special nights of the year - NRE Multicultural Night - will be on Friday, September 25th from 5:00-7:00pm. NRE families host booths to help us celebrate the diverse cultures represented in our school. Would you like to host a booth and showcase your culture? Reach out to PTOmulticulturalnightNRE@gmail.com to reserve your booth or ask questions! Booth Ideas: Cultural Booths: Traditional clothing, art, or historical artifacts Interactive Activities: Host a craft project, game, or storytelling sessions Global Cuisine: Small samples of cultural foods - candy, food item or drink Additionally - the evening will be filled with performances by kids from NRE! If your child would like to share a performance with our community, please email PTOmulticulturalnightNRE@gmail.com for more information.

Questions With...
Ms. Crawford (3rd Grade Teacher)
1. What did you want to be when you grew up?
Funny enough I wanted to be a teacher! I used to force my two younger brothers to play school with me all the time.
2. Which NRE staff member brings you the most joy, and why?
There are so many wonderful people at NRE, that this question is so hard to answer, but I would have to say Kaitlyn Durekas and Emalie Berke. They are the sweetest, funniest, dedicated people with whom I’ve worked. They make my days 100 times brighter.

3. What’s your favorite way to spend an evening?
I have recently been OBSESSED with playing volleyball! I joined a league this summer and quickly fell in love with it. I am determined to become the next USA doubles player. If I’m not doing that I am reading, I love a good book.
4. If you weren’t working in education, what career would you have?
If I wasn’t a teacher I would be working in professional sports marketing. I love sports, my bachelors degree is in marketing, and I have a severe passion for event planning. I am also convinced (my parents would strongly disagree) that I have been to 987 basketball games in my 25 years of life. Watching my brothers play has long been part of my childhood.
5. If you could travel back in time to any era, which would you choose?
I would travel back to the 80’s because the music was absolutely banging. There were no smart phones, so people were connecting authentically.
NRE staff members: Please help us keep our PTO Pulse Staff Spotlight going! We’re always looking for staff members to feature, and we’d love to highlight you. Simply click the button above and complete the short form. We’ve included lots of fun questions to choose from, so you can answer the ones that best reflect your personality!
Unclaimed Raffle Prizes: Could one Be Yours?
If you bought raffle tickets at the Back to School Carnival, please check out the numbers below to see if you have a winner!

Please email a picture of your ticket to PTOvicepresidentNRE@gmail.com to claim your prize! Winners have until September 24, 2026 to claim and pick up their prize. Any unclaimed prizes after that date will be returned to the PTO prize pool.
Upcoming Spirit Nights
Local restaurants host “spirit nights” where a designated portion of the proceeds from your order will be generously donated back to NRE PTO. All you have to do is mention NRE or show the flyer when ordering. It’s a win-win-win: you get a night off from making dinner (or treats), local restaurants get our business, and PTO receives a donation. Stay tuned for more dates - we are adding more to the calendar all the time!
QR code must be presented to the cashier when ordering.
