Stuffie Staycation

Your child’s stuffie probably wonders where they go all day… well, now it’s their turn to find out! 👀

For just $10, send your child’s favorite stuffie on a weekend adventure at NRE! They’ll explore the school, make new friends, and maybe get into a little mischief while the students are away. We’ll capture it all in a special video so your child can see exactly what their stuffie got up to!

Stuffie Staycation Flyer.png

How to Join the Adventure:

  • 🎟️ Purchase a Stuffie Adventure Ticket for $10.

  • 🏷️ After purchasing a ticket, an ID tag and protective bag will be sent home with your child. Attach the tag securely to the stuffie and place it inside the provided bag.

  • 🎒 Drop-off: Have your child bring their stuffie to school on Thursday, November 5, and drop it in your classroom’s Stuffie Check-In Bin.

  • 🎬 Pick-up: Your child's stuffie returns Monday, November 9, with a special Adventure Certificate and a QR code to watch their adventures!

A Few Stuffie Rules:

  • Stuffies must be small enough to fit inside the provided bag.

  • Please leave all accessories at home so they don't get lost.

  • Please avoid sending Disney characters or other well-known characters, as we may not be able to feature them in the adventure video due to copyright restrictions.

Teacher Grants

Did you know that some of the money raised through PTO fundraisers goes right back into our classrooms through teacher grants?

The PTO recently awarded grants to several of our teachers to help support their classrooms and students.

  • Ms. Bush – Music: Performance T-shirts for the Percussion Ensemble.

  • Ms. Wales – ESL: Cooking supplies for a hands-on unit exploring pancakes and food traditions around the world.

  • Ms. Sigmund – Think Tank: New Ozobots and Dash Bot accessories to expand robotics and coding opportunities for students across multiple grade levels.

  • Ms. Lien – Mandarin: A traditional lion dance costume to continue a beloved school tradition and bring cultural learning to life.

  • Ms. Robertson – Art: Art supplies to support students’ creativity and learning.

We love being able to support our teachers and help make their ideas a reality. It’s just one of the many ways PTO fundraising makes a difference at NRE!

Volunteer Shout-Out

Thank You, Anna Herrmann!

If you’ve dropped off a coat or costume at the school or found something your family needed, you can thank Anna Herrmann! This is her third year running our Coat & Costume Drive, and she’s the one behind the scenes making sure everything gets organized and ready for our families.

Anna has also served on the PTO Board in two different roles, so she’s no stranger to jumping in and helping out! We’re so lucky to have her continuing to find ways to make a difference at NRE. Thanks, Anna, for taking this on year after year!

Know someone who goes above and beyond for NRE? Whether they help at events, volunteer behind the scenes, or are always willing to lend a hand, we’d love to recognize them!

Coat and Costume Drive: Thank you!

The Coat and Costume Drive ended on October 9, and we wanted to send out a big thank you to everyone who participated! There were so many cute costumes and warm things to wear brought in to look through. Hopefully, you were able to take a peek and find some items to bring fun to your spooky season celebrations or keep you warm as we get closer to winter!

Anna Herrmann delivered all the remaining coats and costumes to the Help & Hope Center in Castle Rock, and they were so grateful for the generosity of our NRE community! They shared that the need for coats is especially high this year, making your donations even more meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, or picked up items.

Upcoming Spirit Nights

Local restaurants host “spirit nights” where a designated portion of the proceeds from your order will be generously donated back to NRE PTO. All you have to do is mention NRE or show the flyer when ordering.
